Calling People Out
Both President Obama and his Press Secretary Gibbs are making mistakes by calling out the media. President Obama calls out Rush and Sean and now Gibbs thinks he can take on Santelli and Cramer. Santelli knows more about the financial world than Gibbs will ever know. Yet, Gibbs is dumb enough to call Santelli out. The administration would have been better off to let the Santelli rant die down naturally. Instead Gibb's reply allows Santelli to keep his rant going. Gibbs showed up to a gun fight with a water pistol full of knowledge. The Obama camp had nothing to gain with the Gibbs rebuttal.
Calling people out is a statement by the Obama administration. The statement is that if you don’t agree with us, you should be silenced. Isn’t that what happens in Russia and China. Doesn’t anyone remember Nazi Germany? I guess Obama forgot that 47 million people didn’t vote for him. Next, is he going to call out 47 million people?
Freedom of speech is a basic tenant of the American democracy. The Obama administration is squandering their political capital. The President must know that his days of political capital are numbered; which is why he is cramming his new world order down the throat of America in his first 100 days in office. The problem is, America cannot digest the debt he is proposing. Once America’s brain catches up to its belly full of indigestion, it is only a matter of time, before, we the people, begin to call out the President.
